The subject of this piece came up in my exploration into capturing bulk in an image. Sumo continues to hold on to it’s mystique and historic prestige amidst a world consumed with technological advancement. The sumo wrestler, or Rikishi, is such an impressive specimen of the human race. The first image I saw of a one had me entranced. I had to draw one.
