It feels like it's been a long time. It has in fact been a long time. Why? Because up until recently drawing has not been my profession. However, guess what? As of a month ago, it is now. That's right, I've changed careers from the noble path of the bicycle sales manager to the lowly illustrator. You benefit cause I'm guessing you haven't been coming here to see what's the latest headset standard you need to buy for your Scott Addict, but rather to see what I've been creating or to read up on everyone's favorite blackmarket flunky. I can guarantee you there will be more of one or the other. Whatever my fancy.
One of the things I've been working on is a new sci-fi graphic novel. It's obviously a whole new direction from what I've been making here. But you know what? The time is ripe for change. So I'm trying something new. I'll be posting pics from it or concept drawings here so check 'em out and let me know what you think.
I'm thinking I'll just post any art of mine that I think you'd like to see. I hope you enjoy.
So is it the end of the world? Sure seems like it over in my part of the world. Maybe it's not the end as in it all blows the fuck up, but it's the end as we know it. What if we go back to bicycles as transportation, writing letters, and paper comic books for entertainment? What if?
Cheese and rice, has it really been that long since I've posted anything?! Sorry about that. Blame life! Man has life been giving me my share of trials and tribulations. Well, I've said it before but this time I mean it: I'm gonna get serious 'bout this shit now, damnit. So, sorry for the delay, back to your regularly scheduled program.
Geez, having a baby sure slows down the creative process. Anyways, here we go again. Small Time Drug Peddler hits the town on a real life date! Story courtesy of mister Chris Fantastic Calzia! Oh and in the front is my attempt at drawing the RZA from memory...eh.
Well, due to a new job, new school and an unexpected death which lead to an unexpected trip to New York, I'm missing my Every-Sunday goal of a new page. I'm a little off schedule but I am still planning on attending San Francisco's Alternative Press Expo this weekend (October 17th and 18th). I really hope you attend cause there's a huge amount of great independently published comics and zines and art out there and it all converges at this great event. I'll be at the Crucial Fiction table along with Fergus Tanaka (SF local artist) and Luke Stangel (Cartoonist). If you're coming please swing by and say hi. You can pick up printed versions of the comics here as well as all my back issues. Cheers!
The Misadventures of the Small Time Drug Peddler is a ground breaking mini comic dealing with real world issues that are facing the real world today. Not really...ok, not at all. It's actually a mini comic that deals with a modern day gal trying to make an honest buck in a dishonest industry, namely the illegal drug market.
It is here that you can follow her and her contemporaries as they lie, cheat, steal and hallucinate their way through life. Starting with Volume 3 issue 1 you'll be able to see each page by bloody page as they're produced as well as learn any other related news and events concerning the Small Time Drug Peddler. Start from the bottom, click on a page to enlarge it and work your way up. Enjoy!
