Comic Con
Well I just got back from a full submersion into comics and pop culture at this year's Comic Con San Diego and I can say my brain is fried. I managed to hand out some issues of the STDP #10 and meet some new and interesting people. I also learned that I need to start doing this (blogging) as well as post my art on Deviant Art, both of which I have started doing. I also got some great pointers from some of my favorite comic book artists.
People who are now on my "Love Them list":
1) Terry Moore - quite simply one of the coolest individuals in the comic book world. Extremely nice and inviting to talk to.
2) Scott Williams - Not only did he ink some of my favorite X-Men comics when I was growing up but he gave me some great pointers on inking with a brush.
3) Christopher Moeller - Super talented and knowledgable. Gave me some really good advice and explained some interested methods I'd never thought of trying. It's rare that you find people as genuine and eager to help as Chris.
Needless to say there will be some changes in how I do things on my book from all the great things I learned.
As far as a the next STDP issue, it's well on it's way to completion and I'll be posting pages in the near future.
Thanks for stopping by,
DAve
